Do You Like Pina Coladas?

With the heat of the summer here and all the fresh summer fruits, now is the perfect opportunity to kick off your day with some Pina Colada Overnight Oats? Oatmeal is a year-round favorite in our household. We always pair ours with protein powder (FASTer Way Protein Powder ) to take it up a notch and prevent blood sugar spikes. Oatmeal is not only great to help reach your carbohydrate goals giving you that added energy, but there is also a great deal of fiber in oats to help with that satiated feeling. I personally prefer to use sprouted oats because they are easier to digest and have the added benefits of higher nutrients such as folate, iron, vitamin C, zinc, magnesium, and protein. Now that summer has arrived, it’s time to kick our overnight oats up a notch with a great tasting combination of fresh pineapple and coconut that takes you back to the beach! When enjoying them in the morning, I swear I heard the majestic sound of crashing waves. Here is how you can transform your overnight oats into a delicious Pina Colada and break your fast in style!
Ann’s Pina Colada Overnight Oats!
½ Cup Sprouted Rolled Oats
1 Cup Chopped Fresh Pineapple
1 scoop FASTer Way Vanilla Plant Based Protein
1 TBSP Chia Seeds
2 TBSP Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
¼ Cup Coconut Water
½ Cup Almond Milk
Place all ingredients into a mason jar, place lid and shake to combine. Place it into the refrigerator and let chill for an hour or overnight to enjoy in the morning for a nutrition packed start to your day! Top with extra pineapple, coconut shreds, some chopped walnuts or even some coconut yogurt.
